EPE (Expanded Polyethylene Foam) is widely used as packaging protection and void fill, a very secure hold (when loose peanuts will not protect the goods). Depending on the sensitivity of the packaged items and the potential drop height of the package, the thickness and design of the foam pack should be adjusted.
Standard sizes are:
2400 x 1200mm (2.4 x 1.2m)

To cover an area (m2)
To cut many rectangles or squares
To fill a space (m3)
To float a maximum weight above water (Kg)
Density refers to the mass per unit volume of foam material. Higher density foam is firmer, lower density foam is softer.
Colour Black EPE is not suitable for outdoor or marine use

EPE is a closed cell, meaning it does not absorb water, nor can air pass through as the cells which make up the foam are closed.
This can be a strength for packaging protection.

EPE is a flexible, lightweight and affordable closed-cell foam, non-cross linked Expanded Polyethylene Foam. Due to its low cost and high-quality features, it is commonly used in the packaging industry as EPE Packaging Foam for foam packaging and in the marine industry as NATA Approved EPE Marine Buoyancy Foam for boat floatation.
Our Expanded Polyethylene Foam Sheets can be cut to any size requirements into 2000mm lengths. Standard sizes are 25mm or 50mm x 1000mm x 2000mm and 100mm x 1200mm x 2400mm. Our on-site cutting facilities include a fully equipped factory with state of the art machinery which enables us to supply your required sizes.
